BMJ Best Practice trial starts 1st November 2009

In a nutshell: WUTH has a trial of BMJ Best Practice for a 1 month period starting from 1st November 2009. We would appreciate any feedback you can offer about the resource; please read on to find out how you can give feedback.

How do I access BMJ Best Practice?
You will need your NHS Athens username and password to log in to BMJ Best Practice. To find out how to get an NHS Athens account, please see Library Helpsheet No. 1: Creating and Using an NHS Athens account.

If you have an NHS Athens username and password, visit BMJ Best Practice at http://bestpractice.bmj.com/ and select the link to ‘Log in via Athens’.

What is BMJ Best Practice?
BMJ Best Practice is an evidence based resource featuring the latest research evidence, guidelines and expert opinion – presented in a step-by-step approach, covering prevention, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis on different conditions.

For each condition Best Practice produces a summary and definition, aetiology, epidemiology, through key diagnostic steps and tests into treatment approaches with drugs, guidelines and evidence, finishing with recommendations and outlook for patient follow-up.
