This is the report of a working party of the Royal College of Physicians, the Royal College of General Practitioners, and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. The intention of the paper is to inform professions, policy makers and commissioners about the options available for moving care 'closer to home' and to develop the concept of 'Teams without Walls'.
