Publication type: News item
In a nutshell: From the 1st January there will be a new NHS electronic journals A-Z service. The existing My Journals service (provided by TDNet) will be replace by the National Library for Health A-Z Service.
Journal content e-mail alerts provided by My Journals will also cease on the 31st December 2008. The National Library for Health has purchase Zetoc until July 2009 to provide journal content e-mail alerts.
What does this mean for me?
· If you currently have any journal content e-mail alerts set up with My Journals, these will cease on the 31st December 2008
· These alerts will not be carried over to the new Zetoc service; you will need to do this yourself at http://zetoc.mimas.ac.uk/index.html
· You will notice the ‘My Favourite Journals’ panel disappear on the National Library for Health
How do I set up journal content e-mail alerts from Zetoc?
You will need your NHS Athens username and password Help and support for setting up alerts is available at http://zetoc.mimas.ac.uk/support.html; a key resource if you are new to Zetoc.
A quick guide to setting up alerts from Zetoc is available at http://zetoc.mimas.ac.uk/quickguidealert.pdf.
